Licensed to practice law in both Georgia and Jamaica, W.I., Amelia brings a wealth of legal expertise to the NowackHoward team with a strong focus on real estate and a background in commercial transactions. Having begun her career as an associate attorney at a prominent law firm in Jamaica, Amelia has a profound understanding of the legal landscape and the business needs of her clients.
Amelia’s journey in law began when she earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the University of Liverpool in 2009. Before passing the Georgia bar in 2023 and transitioning her law practice to the United States, Amelia represented corporate and individual clients in Jamaica in a full range of commercial and real estate transactions, including the purchase and sale, development, leasing and secured financing of various asset classes such as office, medical, retail, mixed-use, and multi-family properties in addition to land zoning issues.
In addition to her real estate expertise, Amelia advised clients in a wide variety of complex corporate transactions and restructuring, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and private debt offerings.
Amelia also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics & Business from Agnes Scott College. Outside of work, Amelia enjoys cooking, baking, badminton, card games and is a die-hard dog and cat lover.
