BILL GOURLEY AND VICKY SAND NAMED CHAIR-ELECTS OF THE COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION INSTITUTE’S PROGRAMS COMMITTEE AND CARES COMMITTEE, RESPECTIVELY
January 6, 2022, Atlanta, Ga. – NowackHoward, LLC is pleased to announce that Partner Bill Gourley and Associate Vicky Sand have been elected to leadership positions with the Community Association Institute – Georgia Chapter (CAI). Mr. Gourley has been selected as Chair-Elect of CAI’s Programs Committee and Ms. Sand has been named as Chair-Elect of the CAI CARES Committee. Mr. Gourley and Ms. Sand will hold the Chair-Elect positions throughout 2022 before taking over as Chairs of their respective Committees in 2023 as part of CAI’s newest generation of volunteers.
“These are critical roles for CAI that help the organization fulfill on its mission to both educate and contribute to homeowner associations throughout Georgia,” said Managing Partner Julie McGhee Howard. “These two roles, in particular, are important to NowackHoward as they align strongly with our mission of education and building strong, thriving communities. We are thrilled to support our team members as they offer their time and expertise.”
Bill Gourley has over a decade of experience in community association law with broad experience in general service and litigation. Bill has extensive experience advising HOAs and condominiums on corporate governance and operations, representing associations in covenant enforcement actions and defending associations lawsuits involving a wide range of allegations. His significant experience and outside-the-box thinking will serve him well as Chair of the Programs Committee as he helps to provide networking opportunities for all CAI members throughout the year.
Vicky Sand specializes in collection of delinquent assessments, advising clients on ways to maximize recovery. Vicky has collected hundreds of thousands of dollars for her community association clients bringing a unique perspective to maximizing the recovery of collection debts for community associations. It’s this commitment and focus that Vicky can bring to the CAI Cares Committee as she works throughout the year to better communities by hosting service oriented events that focus on building communities and bringing our members together.
