Fostering relationships and leading initiatives within our unique industry is of utmost importance for NowackHoward. We are proud to continue our partnership with the Community Association Institute (CAI) of Georgia as a Platinum Sponsor with attorneys serving across its committees.

Vicky Sand enters her second year as Chair of the CAI Cares Committee, working to build better communities by hosting service oriented charitable events throughout the year. Most recently, she led the committees first hands on volunteer day of the year on March 27, 2024, benefiting FurKids Atlanta, a no kill shelter committed to animal welfare. Their next event will be a service day with Meals by Grace on June 27, 2024.

Bill Gourley also enters his second year as Chair of the Program Committee for the Community Association Institute, planning and organizing meaningful networking events for industry leaders throughout the year. Notably, he and the committee sold out their first event of the year on March 22, 2024, for a luncheon at the Georgia Botanical Gardens.

Victoria Baggett and Shelby Perdue will also continue their involvement on their respective CAI committees for another year with Victoria serving as the Treasurer of the Member Outreach Committee and Shelby Perdue as a member the Legislative Action Committee.

Julie is also actively involved in a national task force meeting weekly to address the impact of the Corporate Transparency Act on community associations. Julie and the task force are reviewing all options to delay or remove the Act from applicability to HOAs and condominium associations and their volunteer directors. Stay tuned!

We look forward to seeing and hearing from our retainer clients and their managers on our monthly director training programs. Please reach out if we can help your community in any way.
